Process

Prove the numbers before speeding up the proposal.

The project starts with the rules your business approves and safe examples with known expected totals.

1. Review the current estimate.

Identify inputs, rate sources, manual adjustments and the final document. Separate a reusable rule from a decision that requires an estimator.

2. Write the calculation examples.

Include an ordinary quote, boundary quantities, optional work and an exception. Agree expected line totals, adjustments and the final total before implementation.

3. Build one quote type.

Connect inputs, calculations, the proposal template and the agreed review step. Preserve current records and a fallback process.

4. Check revisions and acceptance.

Change a rate, revise a sent proposal and try an expired acceptance link. Confirm that an old version cannot silently become the current agreement.

5. Release with an owner.

Document rate maintenance, template changes, review authority and downstream handoffs. Agree support and any later quote types separately.

Prepare the pricing and revision checklist or discuss a first scope.
